No, the background isn't supposed to be blood. I was asked that by so many people I showed....O.o I are not obsessed with blood, plz. Red's just a nice contrast.

I thought the red was more paint than blood, sure gives it a nice touch to! I really love the way the wings look, silky like. Great work!
